Happy Holidays and All the Best in 2015

We wish you and your family a safe and happy holiday and the best of health, wealth and happiness in 2015!
Holidays are a great time to relax and watch movies together.  Here are some great movies that released recently.
The team of people who saved Winter's life reassemble in the wake of her surrogate mother's passing in order to find her a companion so she can remain at the Clearwater Marine Hospital.  A great family movie starring Morgan Freeman, Ashley Judd and Nathan Gamble.

The Kadam family leaves India for France where they open a restaurant directly across the road from Madame Mallory's Michelin-starred eatery. Great acting, nice story and some great food cooked up.

Thomas is deposited in a community of boys after his memory is erased, soon learning they're all trapped in a maze that will require him to join forces with fellow "runners" for a shot at escape.  Based on the first book of a trilogy.  Another epic movie that is the calibre of Hunger Games and Hobbit.
Darkness has settled over New York City as Shredder and his evil Foot Clan have an iron grip on everything from the police to the politicians. The future is grim until four unlikely outcast brothers rise from the sewers and discover their destiny as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Turtles must work with fearless reporter April O'Neil and her cameraman Vern Fenwick to save the city and unravel Shredder's diabolical plan.  Great action fun for the whole family.

A man believes he has put his mysterious past behind him and has dedicated himself to beginning a new, quiet life. But when he meets a young girl under the control of ultra-violent Russian gangsters, he can't stand idly by - he has to help her. Great action.  Another winner for Denzel.

Check Out My New Neighbors..At Gone Hollywood Video!!

Young new parents Kelly(Rose Byrne) and Mac(Seth Rogen) are in for a surprise when they discover that their new neighbors are anything but the perfect candidates as Teddy Sanders (Zac Efron) tests their patience. They try to play it cool as the parties reach epic proportions but it finally comes to a head where both sides are forced to fend for their turf. Each sides relentless sabotage make for gut busting laughs and soda out the nose fun. A great comedy for the prankster in all of us. This film had me laughing from start to finish and I recommend it to anyone who wants a good laugh.

BACK TO SCHOOL, BACK TO ROUTINES...MAKE MOVIE NIGHT A PART OF YOURS...

IT WAS A FABULOUS SUMMER AND NOW WE ALL SETTLE INTO A MORE PREDICTABLE LIFESTYLE. WE HAVE MISSED SOME OF YOU WHO REFUSE TO SPEND A MINUTE INDOORS IN THE SUMMER. LOTS OF GREAT TITLES YOU HAVE MISSED AWAIT.

THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE ENJOYED MOVIES ALONG WITH SUMMER, THERE ARE NEW TITLES FOR YOU AS WELL.

MAKE MOVIES A PART OF YOUR FAMILY LIFESTYLE, THEY TEACH, ENRICH AND ENTERTAIN.

IT HAS BEEN A WHILE SINCE THE LAST POST AS I HAVE BEEN BUSY RENOVATING OUR COLLINGWOOD STORE TO INCLUDE A NEW VENTURE: SAUCY PASTA AND GOURMET FOODS--FRESH PASTA, SAUCES AND PREPARED FOODS MADE WITH PREMIUM INGREDIENTS DAILY. I HOPE TO BE OPERATIONAL BY SEPTEMBER 15TH. JUST THINK...ONE STOP FOR GOURMET DINNER--READY FOR OVEN OR MICROWAVE--AND A GREAT MOVIE OR TWO.

NEW OR RECENT RELEASES:

BRICK MANSIONS: A NON-STOP ACTION COP THRILLER STARRING PAUL WALKER, OF FAST AND FURIOUS FAME, IN HIS LAST FEATURE FILM.

DRAFT DAY: KEVIN KOSTNER AND JENNIFER GARNER STAR IN THIS FOOTBALL BASED FILM IN THE SPIRIT OF MONEYBALL AND JERRY MCGUIRE.

THE LOVE PUNCH: PIERCE BROSNAN AND EMMA THOMPSON LEAD THE CAST IN THIS CAPER ABOUT A DIVORCED COUPLE FORCED TO WORK TOGETHER TO TURN THE TABLES ON A CORRUPT BUSINESSMAN WHO BANKRUPTS THEIR JOINTLY OWNED COMPANY.

RAGE: A GRITTY TALE OF REVENGE AND VENGEANCE STARRING NICHOLAS CAGE AS A MAN WHOSE VIOLENT PAST CATCHES UP TO HIM.

THE NORMAL HEART: BASED ON A TONY AWARD WINNING PLAY, THIS FILM IS A STARK PORTRAYAL OF NEW YORK CITY AT THE ONSET OF THE HIV/AIDS CRISIS. A STRONG CAST INCLUDING MARK RUFFALO, JIM PARSONS, AND JULIA ROBERTS MAKE THIS A POWERFUL, AND IMPORTANT FILM.

BLENDED: AN ADAM SANDLER AND DREW BARRYMORE COMEDY--NEED I SAY MORE. THE PAIR ARE REUNITED ONCE AGAIN, THIS TIME AS SINGLE PARENTS WHO, AFTER A DISASTROUS BLIND DATE, FIND THEMSELVES STUCK, WITH THEIR RESPECTIVE CHILDREN, ON THE SAME SAFARI TOUR IN AFRICA.

THE ANGRIEST MAN IN BROOKLYN: THE LAST ROBIN WILLIAMS FILM RELEASED BEFORE HIS DEATH (ALTHOUGH SEVERAL REMAIN IN POST-PRODUCTION). THIS HUMOUROUS TALE OF A MEAN, SELF CENTERED, BUSINESSMAN WHO LEARNS HE ONLY HAS 90 MINUTES TO LIVE. A NARROW WINDOW TO SEEK FORGIVENESS AND REDEMPTION FROM SO MANY PEOPLE.

GRAND PIANO: A SUSPENSEFUL THRILLER STARRING JOHN CUSACK AND ELIFAH WOOD. WOOD PORTRAYS THE MOST SUCCESSFUL PIANIST OF HIS GENERATION WHO BECOMES RECLUSIVE DUE TO STAGE FRIGHT. WHEN HE FINALLY PREPARES FOR HIS TRIUMPHANT COMEBACK HE FINDS A NOTE ON HIS PIANO SAYING "PLAY ONE WRONG NOTE AND YOU DIE...".

FRANKIE AND ALICE: THE STORY OF A GO-GO DANCER WITH DISSOCIATIVE IDENTITY DISORDER--BETTER KNOWN AS MULTIPLE PERSONALITIES: ONE A SEVEN YEAR OLD NAMED "GENIUS" AND THE OTHER, A WHITE SOUTHERN RACIST WOMAN. HALLE BERRY GIVES A STRONG PERFORMANCE IN A CHALLENGING ROLE.

FOR THE FAMILY AND KIDS:

MOM'S NIGHT OUT: YOUR TYPICAL "WHAT COULD GO WRONG" WITH FATHERS BABYSITTING THEIR CHILDREN WHILE THE WIVES ENJOY A MUCH DESERVED NIGHT OUT.

MUPPETS: MOST WANTED: AS KIRMIT AND THE GANG ARE ON AN INTERNATIONAL WORLD TOUR, KIRMIT'S DOPPELGANGER GETS THEM MIXED UP IN AN INTERNATIONAL CRIME CAPER. RICKY GERVAIS, TY BURRELL AND TINA FEY LEND THEIR COMEDIC SUPPORT.

LEGENDS OF OZ: AN ANIMATED MUSICAL ABOUT DOROTHY AND HER TRIO OF FOLLOWERS RETURNING TO OZ. HOLLYWOOD HEAVYWEIGHTS SUCH AS DAN AYKROID, KELSEY GRAMMER, JIM BELUSHI, OLIVER PLATT AND MARTIN SHORT ADD VOICES.

TOY STORY OF TERROR: A SHORT NEW MINI FEATURE FROM DISNEY/PIXAR FEATURING THE WHOLE TOY STORY GANG. THE DVD IS ROUNDED OUT WITH THREE "TOY STORY TOONS"--ADDITIONAL NEW CARTOONS.

THIS TUESDAY:  CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER
